Village Green Status Awarded To Elliot Playing Fields

A Village Green Status was awarded this morning to the Elliot Playing Fields in Hubbards Chase, Hornchurch. 

This green space has been used by local residents for dog walking and activities, such as football for many years and is part of the community. However, Elliot Playing Fields has always been on the list for new housing development, but this VGS award, will now bring this matter to a close. Future generations will now be able to enjoy using this green space. 

Congratulations to our local Councillors David Godwin and Laurance Garrard on their second VGS award in Emerson Park ward. A truly great achievement!!
